Toddler Bed

On Thanksgiving we were given

a toddler bed. We were going to wait before he used it, but as you can see, the first night he was ready. He is doing well with it. He does not fall out as much as he used to. Another step towards growing up.

Christmas Cookie Baking

It has been a while so I thought I would update with a few photos of Andrew making sugar cookies. He had more fun cutting them out and waiting for them to cook then actually decorating, but it was still fun.

Derby Day

A couple weeks ago our church had a derby day where we could race wooden cars down a track. Daddy and Andrew entered the derby and even though they did not win, they had a lot of fun trying. They both received participation ribbons. Way to go boys! We let Andrew decorate his own car with fingerpaints. We also added stickers that said "Andrew's Monkey Mobile". Here are a few photos.

Fun in Seattle

Chillin with Daddy at a picnic.
Peek a boo...I see you. Climbing through a log at the Children's Museum.

Camping indoors???? Just practice for the real thing some day.

Hold on Uncle Chris! It is going to be a bumpy ride.

Sushi Anyone?

Big boy using a straw. Well...sort of...

Sea Otters are so cute.

Octupus after he ate some breakfast.

We just got back from a trip to Seattle. The weather was beautiful and we were able to do many things. We visited the Aquarium which we thought Andrew would love; however the BIG fish in the BIG tanks made him a bit nervous. He did like the seals and sea otters though. We were also able to visit the Children's Museum. It was very different from the one in Phoenix. This had many rooms and even had a Japanese themed room where kids could cook up various foods including sushi. We were also able to visit family and sightsee around Seattle. Andrew was a real trooper again and did great the entire trip. We loved it there, but are also glad to be back home. Here are just a few photos to share.

I am one-hear me roar!

So we had professional pictures taken of Andrew to commemorate his first birthday. Here are a few. The one that looks like he is roaring is our favorite.

Our Little Man is One years Old!

It is hard to believe, but Andrew is now one years old! It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home. We had a small party with a few friends and family. We were not sure what to feed him because he has never had any dessert before so we went with a blueberry muffin. He ate some, but was more interested in getting his picture taken. Here are a few photos from the day. The photos of him eating are on the video camera. I will work on sharing those at another time.

Easter has arrived.

Here is our little man all dressed up for Easter. He only had the sweater vest on for a short time because it was a warm day, but we wanted to get a picture of him in his full Easter ensamble. Thanks Uncle Chris for the gift card to Baby Gap so we could get the dress shirt.

Say Cheese!

As you can see by the picture, we have a little ham on our hands. He wanted to show off all of his teeth. I think he did alright.

A Day at the Park

We got together with our adoption group yesterday and the house we went to was near a park. It was a bit cold, but we wanted to see what Andrew would do so we put him on the swing and as you may be able to tell was not a big hit. However, the slide was another story. Maybe because daddy went with him, but he loved the slide. We now know we have to find him a small slide for his birthday!

Waiting for the plane

Hello All,

Here are a few photos from Andrew's first Christmas. We spent the holidays with family up in Washington. Andrew met many family and friends for the first time. It was so exciting for us all. Andrew was a real trooper and did excellent on both plane rides. Mommy and Daddy were relieved since this was his first time on an airplane. We were able to see friends and visit with family in Washington and even Oregon. Our little man is now a travelin man. Enjoy and God Bless.
